When a document looks wrong, people stop trusting what it says

We reformat, restructure, and rebuild documents so they reflect the quality of the organisation behind them. Whether it is a single client-facing report or a full library of internal documents that have drifted out of alignment, we make sure every page looks considered, works correctly, and stays consistent over time.

The problem is rarely the content. It is what surrounds it.

Most organisations have documents that were built quickly, updated repeatedly, and never properly designed. Reports copied from older reports. Proposals adapted from templates that were never quite right. Presentations rebuilt from scratch every time because nobody can find the original.

Over time, those documents become harder to read, harder to edit, and increasingly disconnected from the way the organisation looks everywhere else. The content is solid. The structure is not.

A document that looks inconsistent or poorly formatted creates doubt before anyone has read a word. It suggests the organisation behind it is not as considered as it claims to be.

At Worker Ant, we reformat and rebuild documents so the quality of the work inside them is matched by the quality of the presentation around them.

What document formatting work is designed to improve

Formatting problems rarely appear all at once. They accumulate gradually as documents are copied, edited, and passed between teams. Our work focuses on the areas where that breakdown most commonly affects how documents perform.

audit

Visual consistency

tandardised typography, spacing, colour usage, and layout applied across every page, so documents look intentional rather than assembled.

structural_issues

Structure and hierarchy

Clear heading structures, logical page flow, and well-organised content blocks that make documents easier to read and navigate.

print_digital

Print and digital accuracy

Layouts designed to work correctly in both environments, so documents look as intended whether shared as a PDF, printed, or edited online.

colour_palette

Brand alignment

Your organisation’s identity applied properly throughout (fonts, colours, logo placement, and layout), so every document reflects the brand rather than undermining it.

template_usability

Editability and usability

Documents built to be used, not just viewed. Properly structured styles and clean formatting that anyone in the organisation can update.

calendar

Long-term maintainability

Formatting built on proper style structures rather than manual overrides — so future updates are straightforward and consistency holds over time.

Document problems rarely get fixed by themselves

The usual pattern is that a document gets updated just enough to be usable. The old logo gets replaced. A new colour gets added. A heading gets restyled manually because the template doesn’t quite match. Each change is small. None of them feel wrong at the time. But over months and years they compound into something that is genuinely difficult to unpick.

By the time most organisations ask for help, the document has been through five or six iterations, carries formatting from two or three versions of the brand, and has styles applied in different ways across the same file.

That is the point at which a proper reformat — rather than another round of incremental fixes — becomes the faster and more cost-effective solution.

Common document formatting problems we fix

Most document formatting problems follow a familiar pattern. The file started out fine, got adapted repeatedly, and gradually drifted into something that is difficult to manage, inconsistent to look at, and time-consuming to update.

We rebranded, but our documents still use the old identity

We roll out updated brand standards across existing documents — replacing logos, colours, fonts, and layouts with the new identity applied correctly and consistently throughout.

Every team has built their own version of the same document

We audit, consolidate, and reformat document libraries into a unified set of standards the whole organisation can use — regardless of department, region, or team.

Our documents look fine on screen but print badly

We design for both environments. Layouts, margins, colour modes, and typography are set correctly for print and digital so documents perform well in either context.

We don't have time to rebuild everything from scratch

We do that work. Send us your existing files and brand guidelines, and we reformat, restructure, and rebuild to the standard required — without you needing to start over.

The documents work, but nobody is confident editing them

We rebuild on proper style structures with clean, logical formatting that anyone in the team can update without accidentally breaking the layout or losing the formatting standards.

Our Word documents look terrible when exported to PDF

We fix the underlying structure (styles, margins, image handling, and page setup), so the Word-to-PDF workflow produces clean, professional output every time.

What Our Clients Say

How it works

Step 1 | Audit and style development

We review your existing files alongside your brand guidelines to understand how the documents are being used and where they are falling short. From there we establish the formatting standards everything will be built to — typography hierarchy, colour usage, spacing and margin rules, heading structures, table styles, and paragraph formatting.

Step 2 | Reformat and rebuild

We apply the new standards across your documents using professional tools and structured methods. Every page is checked for alignment, consistency, and correct style application. Tables, charts, headers, footers, and graphics are rebuilt where needed.

Step 3 | Review, guides and handover

We review all documents with you and make final adjustments. We then produce user guides and user videos and, where required, run template training sessions for the people responsible for keeping documents consistent going forward.
